Yison Tech Hub, in collaboration with the Internet Society Foundation (ISO), has launched The SmartWoman Project, a pioneering digital skills training program targeting women-led SMEs.
This initiative aims to bridge the digital divide by empowering 200 women entrepreneurs across 10 communities in the Nadowli-Kaleo District, including Goli, Takpo, Kaleo, Cherikpong,
Serikpere, Kalsegra, Nadowli, Sombo, Sankana, and Loho. The program comprises seven comprehensive modules designed to enhance digital literacy and business skills, covering essential
topics such as the use of digital devices, internet safety, social media proficiency, digital content creation, mobile money utilization, and digital financial management and bookkeeping.
The SmartWoman Project provides numerous benefits to its participants, this includes equipping them with the skills needed to navigating smartphones and tablets, using the internet safely, and leveraging social media for business growth.
It also boosts their confidence in utilizing Mobile Money (MoMo) as a secure means of transaction and improves their capabilities in digital content creation and distribution.
By offering foundational knowledge in digital financial management and bookkeeping, the program emphasizes the importance of digital skills in personal and professional development.
Ultimately, The SmartWoman Project is more than just a training program; it’s a movement to unlock potential, inspire growth, and drive innovation among women entrepreneurs in the Nadowli-Kaleo District.

To bridge the digital divide between the served population and the unserved vulnerable population. Yison Tech Hub set up an ICT Lab for Madina Social Welfare Echoing Hills Village with grant support from Grundfos Foundation. Echoing Hills Village is an Orphanage that houses orphans, children with autism and other disabilities. We also, donated set of computers to Signovic Academy at Dodowa. Signovic Academy also, enrolls children from the street. We are grateful to our partners.
GalleryIn 2023, Yison Tech Hub, in collaboration with the National Entrepreneurship Innovation Program (NEIP), embarked on a transformative initiative to empower and equip 20 businesses in the Upper West Region of Ghana. The objective of the program is to provide these entrepreneurs with the necessary knowledge and skills to not only establish successful businesses but also effectively manage them. Participants were immersed in a comprehensive training program that covered a wide range of essential topics. They were guided through the intricacies of running a thriving business, including the utilization of the Business Model Canvas (BMC), conducting thorough market research and analyses, strategic growth planning, the fundamentals of branding, marketing and sales, introduction to bookkeeping, and the art of pitching to potential investors. The impact of this initiative is profound, as it paves the way for the growth and development of these aspiring entrepreneurs. Through the collaborative efforts of NEIP and Yison Tech Hub, the businesses will be able to secure funding, enabling them to turn their dreams into reality. This remarkable endeavor not only exemplifies the commitment of Yison Tech Hub and NEIP to fostering entrepreneurship and innovation but also showcases the immense potential that lies within the Upper West Region of Ghana. By equipping these businesses with the necessary tools and resources, we are confident that they will contribute significantly to the economic growth and prosperity of the region.

GalleryUnder the auspices of the Ministry of Business Development, Yison Tech Hub extended business set up training and the formation of entrepreneurship clubs in selected senior high schools in Ghana. This is part the broader entrepreneurship ecosystem by the government of Ghana in senior high schools. Yison Tech Hub trained 4,000 youth from the selected schools. After the training, each school formed their own entrepreneurship club to serve as the rallying point for further school-based entrepreneurship training.
GalleryArtificial Intelligence (AI) is an emerging trend in the technology sector and Yison Tech Hub (YTH) do not want the youth in the Upper West Region to be left behind. YTH hence organized an AI session for selected youth in the Wa Municipality of the Upper West Region. 50 youth participated in a free 3 months AI training facilitated by YTH and Ghana Tech Lab (GTL)
GalleryThe 25 Days of WOW was an entrepreneurial journey and tour organized by the Ghana Hubs Network in partnership with the hubs in Ghana. GalleryThe development of mobile applications is one of the key areas that we provided to the youth in Ghana. In collaboration with the Ghana Tech Lab and the Upper West Regional Coordinating Council in February, 2019, 50 youth were trained on mobile app development. The application development lasted for 2 months after which the best four finalists were incubated in the development of the mobile Apps. Each finalist were allocated with coaches and mentors during the incubation period.
